BOOT CAMP TO GIVE ENTREPRENEURS CAPITAL RAISING SKILLS

      Raising early stage capital has never been easy. The average entrepreneur spends over 750 hours searching for funding and more than 4 out of 5 never find the capital they require. In 2001, finding early stage capital is expected to become significantly more difficult as additional demands are being placed on the private equity market. Many latter stage VC's are postponing investments, forcing companies to seek interim 'bridge' financing from the early stage capital market. As reception to public offerings cools, many developing companies are seeking private equity investment.

      In response to market trends, VentureDrive, Canada's largest angel network, will be holding an intensive 2-day boot camp in Toronto for entrepreneurs going from concept to money. The date of the event is March 21- 22, 2001.
